Children's workshop in the Church of Alkmaar (NL)
In response to the exhibition Taking a Line for a Walk by Thomas Trum at the Church of Alkmaar, we developed a children's workshop. The children are experimenting with large scale, bright colors and tools which are normally not used to paint with. For his own work Trum was inspired by the size and line pattern of the church. Just like him, together with the children we are looking for shapes in the church - vaults, arches, pillars. How do you put a shape on paper without working with brushes? What happens when you mix different shapes? The result is a meters long joined work.
